Pray for Montreal
Hello my brothers and sisters in Christ.
I ask for your prayers for Montreal right now. I miss it there dearly, and if you've been listening to the news today, there was a shooting at one of the biggest colleges in Montreal. I've heard from my roommate there, Alain, and from Tony, the evangelist that I worked with, and they didn't know too much about all the individuals involved yet.
I did meet people that went to Dawson College this summer and I got to share the gospel with a young man that was really seeking just before I left there. There are people from Peoples Church that go there as well. So, as we know, God glorifies Himself all the time, so please pray that God would be glorified by many being saved because of questions coming up because of this tragedy.
This was right down the road from where we worked on the streets, and Tony and the team will be out this weekend. In the wake of all this, please pray for salvation for many, for comfort, for love, for answers and the Answer - which is Jesus. It hurt me much to hear about this - but God is in control of all things. Pray for the believers there - that it would awake them and give them a zeal and an urgency about sharing.
Pray for Montreal, please.

It is amazing the difference we feel towards something when it is something or somewhere we have been close to or know people that have been affected by this tragedy. I know you wish you were there especially to share Jesus to lost souls on the streets this weekend but also to comfort others by sharing how Jesus is sovereign and has a reason for everything that happens in our lives. I will be praying for wonderful and exciting things to happen through this in the lives of lost people as well as in the lives of believers that this might encourage them to share Jesus with those around them as there will be many opportunities as people talk and try to figure the whole ordeal out.

Here are some of the news from Montreal.
It is a single gunman 25 years old who did the massacre. I won't give any more details about him because our natural human tendency is that to tag people when we find some simmilarities with a criminal.
The man was obviously sick in his mind. But who isn't to some degree. When hope is missing, joy flees away, compassion evaporates and love disappears. Then the worst of the human heart comes out, coupled with the illusion of this world system and Satan skillful schemes to lead humanity and individuals to destruction.
I dont want to sound to simplistic here... but in Jesus there is hope. This hope is not a national hope or targeting a certain group of people. It is a hope given by Our Saviour to each individual who accept Him. "whoever believes in Him" Jn 3:16
Where is my responsibility in this? To preach the Gospel (with my meagre capabilities) to individuals. To help and care with the same love the Lord Jesus did when He walked on this earth. It's hard and it seems hugely impossible to me. Please pray for me so I would not rely on me for this task but on the Holy Spirit.
Please pray for my city, the wounded, the parents of the victims (one of them died from her wounds), the gunman's relatives (how do they deal with this??? It must be terrible). Pray that the Gospel is preached freely and freely that Gospel will be accepted and lived by many here.
