My birthday today...
As I was reading this morning during my quiet time, I was reading in Jeremiah. I am going to be preaching on Jeremiah in the next couple of weeks. So, any suggestions on reading of commentaries or helps would be appreciated. But I will be using the text of Jeremiah 20:7-13 and Lamentation 3:19-24 and will use the "t" as my sermon-point guide because it worked itself out that way: Trouble (outside himself), Termoil (inside himself), Trust (in God - outside himself)..... so that was good to nail down, until God decides to change it if He wants.
But than as great encouragement on my birthday I read this in Jeremiah 20:14-18
"Curse the day I was born!
The day my mother bore me - a curse on it, I say!..... and so on....with more encouragement"
I took that as a great birthday greeting! What a weird thing to read today.... anyways, I am done blogging for now....

Happy Birthday to you Dwight. I trust that someone will celebrate with you today as your family is thinking of you and how special you truly are in our lives. I think this is the first birthday that I can recall that you have not been around to spend at least some part of the day with us. Remember, we love you SOOOO MUCH and wish we could spend this special day with you but your heavenly father is with you and spending every moment of it with you. Rejoice and remember that His arms are wrapped tightly around you on this special day today as they are every day. We wish we could put our arms around you to remind you how special you are to us. Stop writing sappy things to me, you make me cry... I love how when I hear from you, it resonates deeply with me, maybe deeper than with anyone else. Your words have such an impact on my life mom, and your love for me and for our God has a greater impact! Thanks for reminding me that my heavenly Father is with me sharing this day!
